women wanting "experienced men"...is it because those women are experienced as well?

I think females who want experienced men want them because of the reason you stated. I know that i would never have wanted an "experienced" man. We have the rest of our lives to experiment with eachother.

Must be cultural, my best (virgin) friend is holding out for her experienced future husband (here in the Netherlands). I've never met a woman who preferred a guy to be a virgin around here... Regardless of her own sexual activity.

Experience is considered a good thing, because that supposedly means he's better able to please her, and he's not so frustrated that he'd be too rough on her :p (at least that's what's being whispered at our girly get-togethers).

It would be hypocritical if they didnt. They probably associate their personal regret of losing their virginity with inexperience. So they dont like inexperience
