Anybody had experience with ear splints?

My wife bought a set of 'Ear Buddies' splints for our 5 mo daughter. In theory these are supposed to gently move the ear to the proper shape without requiring surgery later on in life. (Note that this is being done for cosmetic reasons only.)

I have looked into it and am uncertain about whether or not they will do anything but am of the opinion that they 'can't hurt.'

Anybody have any expierence or advice on this?

A splint is a fracture of the splint bone, most horses usually get them and they don't cause a problem but some horses can have serious issues depending on the size and location of the splint. My advice would be to try turning your horse out in magnetic or support boots, if the vets can't find anything wrong then it may just mean that leg needs extra support over hard ground. I'd also talk to your farrier for advice.

This is a treatment recommended by doctors, and developed by a doctor. This parent obviously cares about their child. Jake's comment is extremely rude and ignorant. To answer the question, I have no experience with the product, but I hear the effectiveness is reduced after 6 weeks of age. Good luck though, I hope it works for your baby. Let us know!

If you actually WENT TO YOUR DOCTOR instead of sitting on your backside smoking pot all day, you and your wife wouldn't be doing something so STUPID and GULLIBLE as to buy a potentially dangerous product that claims to somehow be an alternative to surgery.

And for cosmetic reasons? Any loving parent would remind their daughter she's beautiful as she is and doesn't need to change the way she looks.

I really hope your children don't grow up as moronic as you two.
