To drain or not to drain? I burned my ankle?
Two nights ago on a heating pad. It is the size if a silverdollar or bigger. My question is do I drain it or not.? How to treat?

If it's not hurting, just leave it alone. If it's throbbing, I usually pop it with a sterile needle on several spots to relieve the pressure and pain.

If there is a blister that is intact, leave it intact. You want to try and avoid breaking the skin as any break in the skin will increase your chance of infection. If necessary, cover it up loosely. If it does break though, don't peel the skin away. Just cover it with a non-stick dressing and let it heal. If the skin comes off on it's own then so be it.
