Don't you compare? Even if you don't say it outloud, you do...So, why wouldn't he? YES!!

Probably as much as women compare their husbands to each other. Does it really matter? We all compare and contrast in many areas. Why would it be done 'in secret' Are you meaning, do they get together and talk about how their wife is better or worse than another man's wife? If THAT is you question, I can say that "I NEVER HAVE...."

I would say it is much more likely if a man (or woman) has had multiple marriages, they would compare their present spouse, to their previous spouse, but rarely to another man's wife....

I guess if you mean by one man comparing all of his own wives, not to would be kind of inevitable. Other men comparing his wife to let's say his buddies wife? Yes, no doubt. Good and bad, just as we cackle to our girlfriends about our husbands.

No way! Comparing one woman to another--wife or g/f--is a shortcut to big trouble. I never compare one woman to another because that would just leave me feeling incomplete, and if my partner found out, she would feel angry and slighted.

That is a terrible way to treat someone, so I never do it.

I'm sure they do, but it doesn't mean they will always be satisfied with what they have. There is a reason in their own minds why one doesn't measure up. It could likely be due to a screw loose on his part or he is very insecure to continue "comparing".
