Who's the hero of your story?

Who is the hero of the story that you're currently writing? Is he/she an unsung hero who operates in the background? A person who didn't know know it in them then had greatness thrust upon them? Or are they someone who already knew that they were meant to be the hero? And how do you think the actions of your hero effects the people and situations around him/her?

Thanks, and Happy Thanksgiving!

I have two major hearos. William believes that he is nothing but a simple orphan and Mina arrived in the town after being found, with no memory of her past and taken to the town. As the plot thickens they found themselves surrounded by people who hold secrets to their pasts, to which Mina finally discovers. At this point, William is more of a hero while it is more tragic, in that he slowly falls and eventually dissapears, Mina rises to his aid but again, the tradgedy of the novel consumes them both, a theme that consumes many other charectors in the sequels.

The hero of my novel is Lucius Engel, a curious twenty-three year old trying to understand how and why the world went into a nuclear war. There are others that assist him along the way, but they truly aren't the heroes.

(I don't like calling him a hero, though. He doesn't do anything good, just finally sees what happened)

Oh, and Happy Thanksgiving to you too.

There really isnt a hero. I guess everyone has their heroic moment in it. My main character is trying to be her own hero and she can be at times. But also there is Eli who helps her see a different side of life and then there is Lyle, who has always been there to back her up even though she doesnt really realize that.

  • I suppose Ariel would be the hero, but she doesn't always seem like it. In fact, there are some who would brand her a villain, but she always has justification for the evil she acts out.

She's definitely the kind of hero who doesn't know they have it in them. Sorry, I'm too tired to elborate. It's 4:06am.
