Who controls the British crown?

Monarchs reign (not rule) "on the advice of Parliament." That means, the Crown can do little on it's own, but, Parliament can do nothing without the Crown.

However, no-one control the British crown. HM the Queen is subject to laws, like anyone else, but no-one tells her what to do. Various Prime Ministers have tried over the years, but none got very far!

What do you mean exactly? The House of Windsor is in power. The actual crowns have been housed in the Tower of London since the 1300s.

The British do. There would be no monarchy if the Brits decided they didn't want one.

The monarchy's power is legally quite limited, so it doesn't really need to be "controlled". The actual work of governance is done by Parliament and the ministers and other officials.
