I'm making part of it and my brother, who is an excellent cook and baker also, will make the rest of it. So far, we know we're having prime rib and Yorkshire pudding, plus twice baked potatoes (don't need them but want them!), plus my mother's recipe for cranberry salad and my grandmother's recipe for winter fruit salad for dessert with lots of homemade cookies. We'll have either brussel sprouts or green beans or cauliflower or broccoli or asparagus also depending upon what looks best and is priced reasonably just before Christmas so the veggie is fresh. And my brother will bake dinner rolls - whatever flavor he's in the mood to bake.

Other than the twice baked potatoes, the menu is what we have almost every Christmas.

Enjoy the holiday season. I've already started to enjoy figuring out what all I'm baking this year!

It's been prime rib for the last few years served with home made bread or rolls. Gravy and au jus, mashed potatoes. I just try to wing it and make what suits my mood. Not a whole lot of emphasis on dessert and I don't want to duplicate Thanksgiving!

I am. But just for the four of us. We'll have lasagna, salad, and oreo pie for dessert. Kid friendly all the way. We get so tired of turkey around the holidays that I try to make something different for Christmas dinner. Last year we did Breakfast for Dinner (pancakes, bacon, waffles, scrambled eggs, etc.) All about making traditions.

Nope! We hang out and eat snack foods, cold cuts, dips and desserts. Our big meal is Thanksgiving. Your's sounds good!
