Difficulty in quadratic equations..need help!!!?

For the life of me I cant figure out how to get this quadratic equation right

-22x + 21=8x^2

The ^2 stands for squared... thanks to anyone who can help!!

    8x^2 +22x -21 = 0

    x^2 +2.75x-2.625

    ax^2 +bx +c = 0 is std form

    ......................b+/-sqrt(b^2 -4ac)

    .....................-------------------------

    ............................2a

    22+/-sqrt(484+672)

    ------------------------------- = 1.375 +/- 2.125 = 3.5, -0.75

    ..........16

    8(x+3.5)(x-0.75)

    (2x-7)(4x+3)=0 ----> x = 7/2 or -3/4
