Hello? Does anybody really care what day it is today?

How soon we forget and seem so uncaring. Hardly heard ANYTHING about Pearl Harbor Day and the significance it should mean to our country. Is that what is going to happen to 911 someday?

    I care!

And it is possible that people don't care so much anymore because most of them weren't alive when the attack happened. Therefore, it doesn't affect them as personally. The WWII generation is quickly passing away.

Hmm. . . Eventually this may happen to 9/11, when our generation is gone. Never really thought about that before.

Yes, I'm quite aware. Several years ago, when I was asked to read a meditation for a Sunday evening church service on December 7, I deliberately chose one from a book called Living Out Christ's Love, by Toyohiko Kagawa.

    It's also St. Ambrose's Day.

Well, in Europe they still mark the days that Hitler invaded them. And also the date of Hitler's capitulation.

But most of Europe wasn't involved in any big wars after WW2. Could that be an explanation? That other big wars hasn't taken their minds off WW2...?
