I wear glasses now and think I want contacts. What should I do to prepare of an eye exam?

One of the suggestions I heard was touching your eye with your finger (?) to get comfortable with it.

Is that a valid suggestion, and are there others?

Thanks :)

There is no need to study for an eye exam!

Also, it seems touching your eye is of little/no value and might cause infection or other harm, when you are putting contacts in, your finger won't be directly touching your eye anyway..

The contact lens exam includes some extras that you don't get in the glasses exam. The doctor will measure the curvature of the front of your eye and has to evaluate the fit of the lens on your eye.

Nothing really. There's no discomfort in the eye exam and if you get contacts, you'll get used to them pretty fast. I forget I have mine in all the time.

i dont like contacts because u have to like take them out cuz if u wear them when u are sleeping its bad for you. and ur eyes get more moist when they are in glasses than contacts. and if have a strong blink reflex dont bother putting contacts in.

    take a shower?

    not much to it..

    go in for eye exam

    they test your eyes

    and fit you with contacts

all you have to do is be able to put a contact in..
