I think that knocking on the door and saying marry christmas is a great thing to do.

I am sure many of your customers will want to tip you and so it is for you to thoughtfully allow them this opportunity. I just hate to miss someone like the paper boy/girl or whoever and I prefer to be allowed the opportunity.

I am sure many non christian fanilies embrace the spirit and culture even if they do not celebrate as such.

So knock them doors and count the extra cash.

a box of cards does not cost much get some and write in them merry or happy (which ever you prefer) Christmas from your Paper Girl and gradually put them through the letter boxes with their papers if you do it say 10 or 12 at a time you will soon get them all done this may or may not bring you any tips but it is worth a try

Print a set of "holiday cards", and give them out the route before the one right before christmas. Is they really like it, they would give you tips. If not, at least youre being nice, and in the holiday spirit.

DO NOT ASK they'll get mad, and prolly tell your boss....

It's rude and greedy to ask (I'm an atheist!), and what makes you think god-botherers are more likely to give you money than those who celebrate the season of eating and spending too much? Our paper boy gets £1 without asking.

Don't expect a tip and look on any tips that you get as a pleasant surprise. You can't ask for a tip!
