how many presents for christmas?

I have a 31/2 year old son and a six month old baby son, I admit that I have gone overboard on the christmas present buying with my first son, who then hardly played with the toys, but now there are two children I feel i need to cut back on this, ideally how many presents is enough for them?

um well, i'd say this year you should explain to your son that next year Santa wont be able to give him as much presents because his brother will be older by then.

Make sure you spoil your older son because he may feel a bit jelous and left out as hes never had to share christmas with another sibling yet.

Your six month old, wont really understand whats going on, so just buy him things that he needs like clothes for all different ages, toys that will help him learn things and be usefull. He will be more interested in the wrapping paper and everything, as thats usually what happens.

How many presents is enough for them ?

Well, thats fully your decision growing up i always had a double sofa full of presents and that was before my aunties/grans had came round with presents. I guess it just depends on how much you can afford and what your children need. Obviously if your opting for expensive presents then they wont get enough. Wrap all the presents seperately though and buy alot of small things like bath sets etc for your older son.

Hope you have a great Christmas with your family :)x

Ever since we stopped doing the santa thing when were kids. Over the years our presents never go round the tree to Christmas Day or late Christrmas Eve. So we are not tempeted to feel (even though I know most of the things I am getting) there are a few things I get given which my parents know I would like what I have not asked for.

at that young age I wouldn't top 5 and you could do less, maybe three for the infant. Worry about making things more even when they're older. Plus remember that presents don't have to be expensive. Most kids play with the box over the expensive present lol

Depends on how much your willing to spend. You could get them something like 10 each, I always used to have little presents and then one main present, so you could do something like that. My mum always used to spread my presents out throughout the day as well instead of giving me them all in one go.

Well you shouldn't give kids at his age too much toys. When I was three, they sent gifts to children in my building. Those who were less fortunate... I didn't get toys, but I was happy! (: Get him a book, where you can reccord your voice at Hallmark.

Try to get gifts which are rather mutual..This will teach them the virtues of sharing...also u can buy more with the same amount if u have commonish gifts..
