How would Jesus vote on health care?

This is a purely hypothetical situation:

Let's say Senate is voting on universal health care for everyone. But, the yes and no votes are tied and they bring in a special guest: Jesus Christ. Jesus has to choose between private health care for those who can afford it, and public health care for everyone regardless of financial status.

How would he vote?

This is a complex hypothetical question, and begs the question, why did Jesus choose to cure Bartimaeus of HIS blindness rather than simply abolishing blindness altogether?....

I think Jesus would be for the Universal Health care for everyone. He seemed to be willing to help the poor and needy during his time on earth 2000 years ago, so why would he change.

Didn't he work with the lepers, and he didn't get paid for work with money. He got paid for his work in the world by humans killing him. He helped a blind man see again.

He also didn't like the money changers, he flipped their tables over. They were ripping folks off, and Jesus didn't like it.

So I really think if Jesus had the tie breaking vote, we would have Universal Health care.

    Good Luck.

Jesus supported giving your money to help the poor, but he urged people to do so voluntarily. I'm not sure he would support forcing rich, greedy assholes to pay a tiny bit more taxes so that the working poor don't have to get sick and die for lack of affordable health care, but I know how he would feel about the people who would begrudge the poor that money.

He was pretty clear about how God looks upon those who are rich and greedy.

I love when people throw this out there because it shows their lack of understanding of the teachings of Jesus. Jesus answered this question many times. He said that he was not on the earth to worry about people's physical bodies but was here to prepare and save their eternal life. Therefore, Jesus would not take a stand on this issue at all.

it style of feels that the Bible, previous and new testaments, speaks particularly explicitly on the priority of charity. One does no longer could desire to be a Christian to apply those words...that's adequate to apply them to point out the entire hypocrisy of those people who're against charity for their fellow guy, yet declare to be followers of the alleged observe of god. Well, the tiebreaker would be the Vice-President. And since Jesus Christ is not a natural-born citizen, He could not be the VP.

If Jesus was still around, we wouldn't need health care.
