is this a grammatically correct sentence?

The endings of Macbeth and Hamlet differ because Macbeth was driven by selfishness and fell through evil while trying to satisfy his ambition, whereas Hamlet sought a true and just revenge.

    I'm not sure about the "fell through evil"

    but everything else seems pretty good to me.

    Comma after differ then write mainly after the comma. Comma after true
