it took about an hour before it was set. when i woke up, my hand was in a splint. My index finger and middle finger was swollen and numb but i AM able to move it. my ring finger is a little bit tingly but i can feel also swollen. my pinky is fine. my thumb is in the splint too and it is numb and nonstop tingly and i can move it. If any part of your arm is numb you need to go to the hospital right away. This is not normal and could mean you are not getting enough blood flow to those fingers and that is an emergency.

you're not only swelling @ the shoulder, you're also swelling @ the hand (gravity also has a lot to do with that);; ya need to be using a cold pack to that shoulder frequently, & ya need to keep moving what you are allowed to move on that arm of your's to help the circulation, & get that swelling to reduce;; the swelling itself is causing compression on your nerves anywhere through your arm, but most likely @ the brachial plexis...so no hunching over like a monkey,, & use your sling;; also make sure that you variably release that splint according to how much swelling you have;; elevation above the heart is also crucial this early in the game, but you have to keep that arm very supported..sorry, couldn't pick up your photo for some odd reason...good luck!! & stay outa trouble!!!
