I'm in BC. I pay 6.27 cents per kWh for the first 1350 kWh, and then 8.78 cents for anything over that. Plus taxes. That's supposed to be to encourage me to use less electricity but since gas is not an option where I live, I must use more electricity in winter if I want to heat the house at all. But don't worry. If BC Hydro gets their way, BC will soon be paying as much as you are. A wood stove is looking better and better.

I live on an island in the Caribbean where the electricity is generated by diesel power and pay twelve cents per KWH. On the mainland near by where they produce hydroelectric it is less than two cents per KWH.

I pay $35 a month and don't use a lot, actually I use 1/5th of what's expected of me.
I just received my bill for last month and it says:
for energy they charge $.06774/kWh for the first 1,000 kWh, and $.06774/kWh for above 1,000 kWh....
and for fuel they charge $.04167/kWh for the first 1000 kWh and $.05167/kWh for above 1,000 kWh....hope this helps.
