Aaron Sorkin, why a hypocrite like most liberals?
http://www.nationalreview.com/articles/255220/he-c...
Sorkin was furious that the documentary showed Palin hunting and killing a caribou. Although she made it clear that she intended to eat the animal, according to Sorkin, she had committed an act of murder and torture.
Sorkin admits that he eats meat and wears leather. So while he and almost all of us in the affluent West can eat healthfully without eating any meat, Sorkin chooses to have animals killed solely for his culinary pleasure. In other words, he is morally at peace with paying others to kill animals for what is in fact the “fun” of eating meat. But when Sarah Palin hunts and kills an animal for food, she is a murderer and torturer.

Context is everything. Why not actually read, or listen to, what Sorkin actually said, instead of merely accepting a talking head opinion? Sorkin has no problem with hunters, or the killing of animals for food and clothing - not even if Sarah Palin does it. His point was the herding of an animal into Sarah's sight
for a photo op to embellish her image as a ballsy, outdoor lass.

There is a difference between hunting and killing animlas in the wild for sport and dining on meat products specifically raised as food or using animal products from animals raised for that purpose. There is nothing hpocritical about a meat eating, leather wearing person being crtitcal of hunting for sport. (And it is sport, Ms. Palin does not need to hunt to feed her family)
Be that as it may - really. Who cares?

I cannot understand why any meat eating person considers hunting to be cruel or unethical.
Look at the two scenarios:
1. An animal lives in the wild, roaming free, eating natural foods, living as god intended, until a hunter kills it.
2. An animal lives on a factory farm, usually crammed into pens where it can barely move, stuck in it's own waste, eating artificial foods and pumped full of chemicals, until it is slaughtered by folks who don't care.
I'm not a hunter, but I fully recognize hunting is the more ethical and humane way to get your meat.

Maybe because multi-millionaires can afford to leave the wild animals alone.
Sorkin should know..... while he may eat meat.... he doesn't wear his Armani hand-made suits on a 4x4 ride out of town to SHOOT COWS.
If you have ever actually SEEN a herd of caribou... you'd know that "hunting" them is akin to "hunting" dairy cows in a pasture.
You may think it's macho.... most people think it is SICK.... to kill animals for nothing but TV ratings.
To make the case that the Palin's NEED to hunt..... you must have been LITERALLY born yesterday.

reading even your biased link, it seems that he was mad at her for HAVING SO MUCH FUN killing animals... not at the fact that she did kill it...
I can kind of see his point... but I really don't know enough about what Palin did to have a personal opinion...
in theory, if Vick, who was mentioned, was just killing the dogs for food (which would be odd, but just in theory)... it may not have been a crime exactly... it was the way he was killing them that upset most people and the pleasure he supposedly got from the practice...

No doubt, his comments were over-the-top.
However, he seemed to be communicating more that he objected to the (as he put it) "snuff" nature of the piece. I haven't seen the piece, so I can't comment on it, but I presume that anyone that hunts would say that it's the standard practice for hunters and that it's considered to be "humane."
If that's the case, then he's being a little hypocritical.

Yes sound hypocritical to me, it wouldn't be if he were a vegan or vegetarian they he would be free to criticize her. Until he changes his diet and lifestyle he needs to shut up about the caribou hunting.
Some liberals are blatantly stupid when it comes to our food sources and surprisingly enough only a small percentage don't eat meat.

Sorkin sounds like an idiot is my answer.
