So..does the knowledge that, legally speaking, news shows can tell you anything is a fact disturb you as well? What should we do about this?
Allowed** oy that was a pretty bad one.
I'm more or less asking if we should try to fix this via changing laws. I don't know it seems like allowing this is a good step towards blatant propaganda.

People could always stop tuning in to these lying news out lets like ABC, NBC, and CBS and watch an honest news station like Fox instead.

You should really look into this before you accept the word of one whacked out website. The lady was doing a hit piece on growth hormones in cows. The piece she did was extremely one sided and the Tampa Fox affiliate decided to fire her because she wouldn't let it go. That was their right. The lady has been fired from every job she's ever had. This can be verified easily if one knows how to use Google. But, I'm sure like most people, you're so eager to bash Fox or Bush or anything else thats popular amongst the unwashed, hippy masses you don't care yourself if its factual or not just as long as you can jump on the hippy band wagon and look cool.

I'm afraid there isn't much we can do at this point. 1st amendment trumps it. Either way I don't think it's right. The only thing to do would be to educate the people about it and stop watching biased agenda driven news. There are still some good sources out there, although most are found on the internet.

The Supreme Court says there is nothing you can do about it. The news media has a constitutional right to not let the truth stand in the way of a good story.
