Question about imitation plants.?
I have a lot of algae on my imitation plants in a Goldfish tank. I have algae eaters and pleco's, but they don't keep the plants clean. Can they be washed in anything, or do I just buy new ones?
Thanks, but I don't need advice on taking care of my fish. I know exactly what I am doing. My question was only - how to clean imitation plants with algae on them.

Hi there :)
Algae eaters normally never do a good job at algae cleaning. It's a misconception to think that algae eaters can keep your tank clean. My tanks are always all algae free, because I understand the source of the problem and tackle it.
Just to quickly answer your question, you should just take the fake plants out and clean them.
#1 Biggest problem is sun light. Have blinds or relocate so that you'd never have lots of sun towards your aquarium. This will eliminate your 80% of the problem.
#2 Algae is a plant, they need nutrient. Aside from light, it needs nutrients like nitrate from your water. The less nutrients, the less likely they will grow. In order to do that, water change is a small solution. The true solution is to have other thing compete for the nutrients.
Here's one of my tanks, it's a 30-gallon community:

Just look at the last 10 seconds. It's planted. This way, in the long-run, algae have not much nutrients to grow on.
Algae themselves would compete for nutrient as well. As a result, i normally recommend that, if you have algae problem, dont' clean the algae that are on the surface of your objects or plants. Only scrape those that are on your glass, because that's really where it gets ugly. Letting algae grow on other surface will minimize the algae on other area namely your glass.
In my case, due to my live plants and lack of sun light, i don't have algae growing anywhere in the tank.
#3 Finally, algae eaters. They are a bit of help, but they can't really solve the problem a;pme. Combine with the above, it would make a great solution.Don't depend on them. They will grow big, and as they age, they lose their algea cleaning ability further. You have to feed them pellets. :)
Good luck there !:)

Extra reply:
Just take them out, and scrub them off, it's quite simple. Don't use soap/detergent, just plain water and your hand/brush.

The factor to watch out of this is the change among Christianity and Christians. Christianity is approximately Christ - that's, it is approximately Jesus and the way Jesus' demise and resurrection has furnished all persons with a risk to return right into a dating with God - a dating that broke down considering that we as persons did not desire God to be in our lives. Christians nonetheless are those who declare to comply with Christ (Jesus), that's, think in what Jesus has performed for them and reside in some way which displays the selfless act that Jesus did (die for us in order that we will come again right into a dating with God). As we be trained in Christianity even though, everybody are corrupt and we continually oppose God and forget about Him (Romans three:10-12). The incontrovertible fact that Christians do horrible matters on this planet does not break the reality of Christianity - it truthfully reinforces it. The Bible tells us that all of us do unhealthy matters (regardless of who we're or what we think) and seeing individuals (Christians integrated) doing evil matters truthfully suggests us how imperfect we're and what sort of we quite want God. Although I did not quite reply your query, I desire I shed a few gentle at the giant change there may be among perception and believer - Christianity and Christians!
