Have today's WWE fans been dumbed down to watch just ANYTHING?

(Anyone under the age of 15 need not reply)

Please share your thoughts on this subject.

BQ: How do the stars of the past compare to the stars now?

BQ2: Who would you rate as WWE's current best main eventer? (If there is one)

BQ3: How do you feel about the quality of today's matches?

Well, things definatly are not as good as they were 12 years ago. It all started when WCW was bought out by Vince and pretty much still holds a monopoly on pro wrestling, with the exception of TNA. In short, WWE has almost gotten lazy, and seems to cater to different people than it did. The PG programing is evident of that. But just because it's PG, don't mean things can't be entertaining. I mean 80's WWF was great. Storylines were better written, more thought out, and things made better sense.

BQ: There are a few stars today that can hold a candle to the stars of yesteryear. Mainly because the best went through the old territory system to earn their skills.

BQ2: Today's best main eventer would have been Chris Jericho, but since he's gone, I don't suppose he counts. The best now? John Cena is really over with the crowd, love him or hate him. Edge is always good. Christian could be better if they would let him. CM Punk is young and has a bright future. But as far as the new guys go, Miz is actually coming into his own and I see more potentail with him than anyone.

BQ3: Match quality is lacking. There are a few exceptions with guys like CM Punk, Edge is usually pretty good. But the booking is horrible. What is up with Gimmick pay per views? Used to be that a TLC match was a special happening, or Money in the Bank was a crucial part to Wrestlemania. BAD BOOKING. Because they don't care...

We can only hope TNA gets better....

I actully have stopped watching WWE because it's becoming so stupid. I mean i watched the Slammy awards and I ended up being flat out disgusted. It makes me wonder how come they countinue to make millions of dollars every year.

    I'm 14, but I still wanna answer

BQ: The stars of the past had better storylines and actully knew how to wrestle. WWE was not as popular as it was now but it defintly should have been.

BQ2: Randy Orton. I mean John Cena and Nexus are over done. The Miz is another candiate.

BQ3: They suck. Only championship matches from Smackdown! superstars are good as long as no one interfers. The diva matches are no longer than 2 mintues unless they are title matches or battle royals...are those are not even that long.

You mean, do we know how to make do with what we have? If so, yes. We haven't been dumbed down at all, most of the people here are just aditude era marks who dont know about anything before The Rock and Stone Cold came in. They are even bigger hypocrites than someone who boos for a heel but when that heel turns face, all of a sudden you are that persons #1 fan

BQ: Well, Mr. Anderson is the same on the mic as The Rock but way better in the ring. Randy Orton has the aggresion of stone cold. HHH reminds me of good old fashioned wrestling. When you didnt need to hit someone over the head just to get cheers or to make an impact. Well I guess if you count the sledge hammer. Yoshi Tatsu reminds me of alot of older Japenese Wrestlers. Overall, if you really think about it, they are all the same. Alot of the ROH guys have technical and Lucha Libre styles that wrok really well

BQ 2: The Miz. He knows how to get a crowd riled up and he can carry on a match pretty well

BQ 3: hey aren't horrible but I'd like to see better. I dont need to see 3 squash matches in one night ad how about spice up the divas division and give them longer than 5 minutes of matches. TNA has great matches, now if only they could do something about its show quality. ROH is really good

    BQ-Not sure

BQ2-Edge! Or Triple H when he returns.

BQ3-Their good, just not as good as they used to be.

I would imagine WWE fans have a very low IQ to begin with
