What is our purpose? Why do we exist?
I have several questions that aren’t for moronic answers. My question is for those who are intellectual, visionaries and non-conformist! If, we didn’t have those in the World that do evil things, how can we determine the difference between evil and good? Don’t we need these “bad” people, so we can point our finger at and say, “That is a bad person!” ergo, insuring our-self that we’re a good person and don’t act badly! What is a good person? Yet the difference between good and bad is in all of us. How do we know what it is like to be happy unless we’ve been unhappy? What determines us as “bad” and “good?” In Genesis 3:22 "And the Lord God said, "Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for- ever." Who is, Us? So, we have to conclude, that we know good and evil. We base that on laws! You steal my apples, I want you prosecuted and I don’t care if you did it because you and your family are starving. Honesty is the rarest wealth anyone can possess, and yet all the honesty in the world isn’t lawful tender for a loaf of bread. If we were all to be judged by our thoughts, the hills would be swarming with outlaws. In essence my question is this. We are menial in this Universe. What is our purpose and why do we exist?
I received several answers citing biblical phrases. When I cited Genesis I used it as an analogy nothing more. Religion has nothing to do with my question. Those who believe in a God(s) always has an answer whether it makes any sense or not. It is like climbing in a circle with some one, and telling that person to corner me. Our procreating has nothing to do with my question. I want to know our purpose, it is as simple as that! Why are we, what is our purpose? I know there are those on this planet that can answer my question, but you won't for fear of exposing yourself and you know what I am talking about and I can respect that. Let's just say I need to communicate with this person(s) who can answer my question. I think that my reason is fairly obvious to you. I know what our purpose is and why we exist, I just need to know there is another who can confirm it. I also know that you can find me. I look forward to your presence. As for the jerks who respond to this, you are what your are,

Hiya - You asked.
''If, we didn’t have those in the World that do evil things, how can we determine the difference between evil and good?''
A mature adult does not need to be doused in gasoline and set alight to know that such an experience would be extremely painful , likewise we also do not need to experience badness first hand to know that it is bad.
The Bible gives us the appropriate guidelines on how to live our life , and if we follow the God given direction in there , we will be able to avoid experiencing the results that come with badness.
-----
''And the Lord God said, "Behold, the man is become as one of us to know good and evil: --- Who is, Us?''
The US referred to here is Jehovah God and his first created son Jesus.
Does this scripture mean that God and Jesus know evil because they themselves have experienced or committed badness ? - NO.
With their advanced mental capabilities (compared to mans limited thinking ability) they are able to determine the course that disobedience , wickedness and badness brings.
So it is accurate to say that they can know badness , without actually experiencing it.
Just as we are able to understand that if we rob a bank , then we know straight up that it is most likely that we will be chased , caught and prosecuted by the authorities.
We don't need to imagine too hard to come up with that answer , yet we have not , and most likely do not know anyone who has committed such a crime.

''We are menial in this Universe''
Not true.
All of Gods creation have value in his eyes.
Matthew 10:29-31 ''Do not two sparrows sell for a coin of small value? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground without YOUR Father’s [knowledge]. But the very hairs of YOUR head are all numbered. Therefore have no fear: YOU are worth more than many sparrows.''
It is in man's limited thinking that he tries to devalue life - not Gods.
-----
''What is our purpose and why do we exist?''
These Bible versus clearly tells us of our purpose.
Genesis 2:15 ''And Jehovah God proceeded to take the man and settle him in the garden of E′den to cultivate it and to take care of it.''
Psalm 37:29 ''The righteous themselves will possess the earth, And they will reside forever upon it.''
Ecclesiastes 12:13 ''The conclusion of the matter, everything having been heard, is: Fear the [true] God and keep his commandments. For this is the whole [obligation] of man.''
Mankind was created as a loving expression from God and it was/is his wish that advanced physical creatures (as opposed to pre-existing spirit creatures) enjoy sentient life.
So man was placed on the Earth and directed to look after it and multiply , while remaining loyal to Gods righteous direction.
If he was to comply , man would be able to enjoy a happy life on Earth - FOREVER.
This is still Jehovah Gods purpose for mankind , and the Bible tells us the plan how the restoration to perfection and worldwide paradise will take place.

You are adding in too much that the religious people have made up and influenced into many people's lives. We are alive because our parents reproduced, just like any other animal does. We have no special "purpose" other than to live and reproduce ourselves, and propagate the human species. Unfortunately our species as the dominant species on the planet has grossly overly populated the planet and damaged it greatly. This has reduced and destroyed in many cases thousands of other species that all had a right to exist just like we do. If we do have any "purpose" it is to be good stewards of our planet, and not destroy anything more than is required for us to survive.

Try these;
"Flee the evil desires of youth and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, along with those who CALL on the Lord out of a PURE HEART."
--2 Timothy 2:22

This is considered a DEEP meditation;
“The most important one,” answered Jesus, “is this: ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.”
--Mark 12:29-31
