Food allergies usually start with red itchy feet and ears. It's very unusual for a young pup to have food allergies that show up as skin problems.

Is he really itchy? Are there little scabs along his ear margins? If so, he could have sarcoptic mange...these mites can be difficult to find on a skin scrape, but easy to treat if suspected.

Let your vet recheck him and see that he is not responding to treatment.

They are absolutely postive it is not ringworm? Had a pup here with similar symptoms and tried a number of remedies to no avail then I did this: started wiping his wounds with Coloidal Silver x 2-3/day and gave him 1-2 tsp (internally) /day. The sores healed up within a week and the hair is starting to grow back. Hope this helps.

Did the vet do a scraping of the area. Sounds like Demadex mange. If not maybe a staph infection.

Source(s): Pictures: I would say staph or food allergy

Yes Celiac disease and Gluten allergies have been linked to infertility. But does not mean every women with this problem are automatically infertile.. Below are some links I found with all the info on this subject..

some thing might have happened with his early birth or his mother i don't know that kind of symptom but you should contact your pets doctor and ask him if the symptom might effect his life or is very serious if it is negative you might have to get him into the doctor now it might have been the effect of the wing worm and the mange don't get me wrong but i think it has some kind of problem poor dog i hope he gets better.T_T

Haven't you taken the dog to the vet for shots or anything? My dog had non sarcoptic mange, but the vet picked it up on her first booster and treated it.

    Hi Omarie,

I suggest you try DERMagic skin lotion for dogs. It worked wonders for my dog.
