I forgot my son's 2 month old checkup...?
I am a mother of 2... I have a 3 year old little girl and a almost 3 month old little boy... well I didn't mess up like this for my first so I'm going to ask a dumb question that I probably should already know... My son's two month check up was supposed to be last week... and I forgot. :S Yes I know, I already feel like a terrible mom so no need to remind me... they now can't get him into until the 14th where he will already be 3 months old... (turns three months on the 12th) is this going to cause problems with his 2 month old shots? Will they still be able to do them? I know dumb question, but very much like it answered... Thanks so much guys!!!

Relax :) People make mistakes. There should be no problem with his two month shots. The only problem I can think of would be for his next shots - for some shots, there has to be a certain amount of time between them. Meaning if he gets his 2 month shots, and then can't have the next ones for at least 2 months, you may have to either postpone his 4 month appointment, or go, and then go back in a week or two later just for the shots. Other than that, everything should be fine!

Yes, of course they'll still be able to do them. Everything will just be delayed a little, but it's not a big deal. There has to be a certain amount of time between shots, so the next set of shots will be delayed, and the ones after that, etc. It really doesn't make a difference. Don't feel like a bad mom. We all forget things sometimes!

There has to be a certain amount of time between shots, so what may happen is that after having these ones, they may have to delay the others slightly. It all depends on when he was due the ones after that. I wouldn't worry about it though, he'll catch up! My son was ill when he was supposed to have his 12 month shots and ended up a month behind, but it all worked out in the end.

No you are not a bad mom. Yes they should be able to give him his 2 month shots. They might schedule his 4 month shots a little later on though.

They'll still do his shots. It's completely normal to forget and I'm sure they've had other people that have forgotten as well. Don't stress over this! Forgetting an appointment doesn't make you a bad mom.

Yes, your son will still be able to get his shots..everything will be fine. A suggestion from a busy mother like myself get a planner or one of those fridge calenders to write your important stuff on so you don't forget :)

My doctor went on vacation right after I gave birth, and so my sons shots are always a month late, and I was told it doesn't matter what age they get them really, it matter on how far apart they are spaced.

dont feel like a bad mom! every parent forgets things. it happens to the best of us. having a new baby and a toddler is pretty hectic and it makes it hard to remember everything. but like the pther poster said, it will just make things delayed but they can still do them and it wont hurt anything.
