Do Americans actually believe their country is the best?

Its true, alot of americans have never left their country and have no idea what the rest of the world is like. They believe america is the most free country in the world and think the world revolves around this plot of land. Its called ignorance.

Note i said 'alot' not all.

Tipping is a great way to encourage excellent customer service and it works. Go into an american restaurant to get served then go into an english restaurant and tell me how long you wait for your soda to be refilled in each. Tipping leaves it up to the customer how much someone generally gets paid. As alot of tipping jobs in USA pay well below minimum wage. Its a great system.

I am actually British, but I think America is the best country in the world.

The only things wrong with America are

the bizarre obsession with tipping combined with service personnel somehow believing they have a right to a tip (tip = total stranger giving away part of his hard earned salary to you simply for doing the job you are paid to do)

The way cell phone networks cheat their customers with charges for things that are totally free in most other countries. In most countries, it is totally free to receive an international text or call because the person sending the text or making the call has already paid.

This attitude is common among everyone. People in poor countries think their country is the best there is so why should we Americans not be allowed to think that way?

I am a naturalized US Citizen and to me the US is the best country in the world.

We are the best because we are 1 of, if not the strongest country in the world. We also have comfortable living conditions for most of our people. And most people who live hear enjoy the fact that we have so much racial diversity. Also there are plenty of huge global companies with American roots.

sure human beings do have faith it regardless of if that is greater the Deep South states that have faith it than something. bare in concepts the Deep South is created from 7 states (South Carolina, Mississippi, Florida, Alabama, Georgia, Louisiana, and Texas) and because there are 50 in finished, 7 is merely 14% of the entire US

I guess that depends on your definition of "best". It's the best to me because of all of the freedoms we are provided and especially the fact that I don't have to give 50% of my paycheck to the government to pay for socialist programs. That's enough for me to keep living here.

Yes we do as someone in France or Canada would think their country is.
