If you're just starting to gauge your ears, and they bleed, what do you do?

I want to gauge my ears. I guess my ears were pierced at a 20GA, and I'll have to buy an 18GA taper and plugs. They say that you're only supposed to feel warmth/tingling when you're stretching your ears a gauge down, and if your ear starts bleeding or you're in a lot of pain, take out your taper (not that everyone uses a taper to gauge their ears...) and wait a couple of weeks before you try again.

I've had my ears pierced for 10 years. If my ear starts bleeding and what not, what do I do? Just force it through? I don't think waiting a couple of weeks would help, as I've (in a way) been waiting 10 years, lol.

I'm sorry if I'm being annoying, and I'll ask the piercer this same question when I go to get a taper and plugs, but I kind of want to know right now.

Thank you all!

If your ears start bleeding because you are shoving things into your piercing what do you do? Stop shoving things into your piercings.

That flawlessly average, regardless of how lengthy you wait whether or not it is two months or two weeks almost definitely theres going to be a bit bleeding, however be certain to not blowout your ears.. They will have to suppose a bit hot like you've got a Minnie fever to your ears and that is since all of your stretched cartilage is having blood rushed for your pierce.. So your ears sound like there doing well. And DON'T contact them at All till they've cooled down and dropped probably the most redness within the lobe..

I had my ears pierced at a normal ear piercing size when I started gauging mine and went straight to a 10 gauge. It hurt a lot when I first tried it myself so I had my friend just shove them in one day. It was a lot easier than trying to do it myself. It didn't hurt as much, but you'll still feel pain.

Stop. Now get in your car. Drive to Mexico. Dispose of car and remain there. Their ear-holing tools are probably unsanitary and you will no longer be tempted to gauge your ears. You will look like swiss cheese. And unless your life is all about ham sandwiches, that is not a good thing.

its fine. i remember when i first stretched my ears they started bleeding and i was like 'wtf!!' i left them in and they were fine. u just want to let them heal for 2-3 weeks. i was even using acrylic which is bad for ur ears so use steel or glass. make sure before u stretch ur ears again that they are not red, swollen or hurting in any way. only take them out and stop if they get infected and wait a while and try again. hope thid helps :)
