Girls please answer i need advice: Does she love me back or is my love misplaced?

Question

Okay so long story short:

We met freshmen year and i asked her out, she said no. Back then i hardly knew her and asked her out on a whim.

Sophomore year was mainly uneventful, just stayed friends. I thought everything was over even though i still liked her.

It is now junior and this is were i get confused. At the begining of the year her best guy friend kept asking me who i like and eventually just asked me if i like her (she had a boyfriend at the time) and i said i dont know because i was scared of what would happen if i said yes. We are in the same 6 classes together for the Junior and senior year and we talk everyday and sit next to each other often. 
One night, i got a random text from her say she loved me and asking me if i love her. I avoided answering again and she said she was just curious and confused a little. I ask her about it in person and she says it was her best guy friend again who texted me and i asked him and he said ya and said it was a joke. 
Also, back to when i asked her out. Whenever someone brings it up she quickly says the same thing every time: "So.. ya how about this weather?"

She laughs alot when im around but there is always other guys around too. SHe does smile and we make eye contact. I try and hold it for a while, but she clances away after a second or two.

I would just like to know if there is a good chance she likes me back? and if so how should i proceed now? Thanks for your time :)

I'm sure you are a great guy, you sound very reasonable.  She kind of sounds like a flirt (she has a boyfriend and has a best guy friend and always has guys around) and that she's happy to have you around but not itnerested in keeping eye contact...and always diverting to the weather when asked aobut when you asked her out.  If she like you she'd say, "Yeah, I wish he'd ask me again...I should have said yes" or something.

Even as a "friend" it doesn't sound like she's been a great friend over the years.  But I don't know.

I recommend meeting more girls.  You might find some who are GREAT friends...and you can invite them to hang out with you and your guy friends.  

As to your love being misplaced?  Nah.  Everyone has a crush at some point.  It's part of growing up.  Good luck!

It definitely sounds like she's started developing feelings for you. I would wait a bit longer before talking to her as now is the time for you to really prove yourself to her and pour on the charm.

And I wouldn't believe what she said about her "best guy friend" sending you that text as a joke. Even if that were the truth, the only reason why she would have done something like that is, 1) she's thinking about you, (which is a great thing :), and 2) she wants to see what your reaction would have been. People don't normally send random texts like that.

So my advice for you would be to play it cool for the next week or so and be extremely confident around her but be polite and funny, because we love a guy who makes us laugh and has a good sense of humor and then ask her out.

Kinda weird that all of a sudden she likes you. She may like another guy and may be using you :/ but she also may like you.
