My first 10k, how did I do?

I am a 26 year old Male. I started running about 5 months ago starting at only a mile (I was out of shape). Today I finally made a full 10k run and my time was 49.54. I know that its not a great time but for my first attempt I hope its not completely horrible. How does it compare to an average runner?

Thats pretty good! I run 5ks in about 19:30, and that got me to state level. But I'm a 14 year old girl whose been running for 2 and a half years. so my 10 k would be about 45-47 minutes at my best, considering the extra stamina it takes to run double the distance. Id be happy with that time. You should be too! I kno your like a 26 year old guy, but still thats good for your first time. Great job keep it up, and you'll get even faster!
