Pregnancy during menopause?

What are the risks for a woman in her early 40s and for the expected baby if she falls pregnant during menopause?

First--menopause doesn't usually start until about age 50. If you don't want a baby, you need to keep using birth control until the doctor tells you that you are no longer fertile.

Second--getting pregnant after 40 is not that big a deal. There is a slightly larger chance of the baby having Down's syndrome. I had my second child at age 46 and he's fine.
