Error 815 Please help?

Ok, so I'm trying to figure this out. I'm working with a Dell Inspiron 1525 laptop with vista, when ever i try to direct connect through a dsl line it connects to the network then doesnt allow me to go online. I get error 815. There is no user name and password according to the internet service provider (who i called to make sure), and when i connect directly to other computers the connection works just fine without any passwords or account names.

I have tried turning off the wireless card to see if that had an effect on it but it did not, i still have the same issue. I tried turning the modem off connecting the wire then turning it back on and still it did not work.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
