Possibly. Perhaps it should be taught early on too because so many people drop out of high school.
We need to give kids a reason to stay in school.

not the EMT course but I think basic first aid and cpr would be a good idea. For a person to take the EMT course is very expensive and I don't think many school districts would be willing to foot the bill. Now a vocational school is another story. They could offer that course. the basic one right on up to the more advanced EMT3 and medics. The reason I say that is because if you had that certification you could go on to work in a hospital, paid fire company or ambulance company.Also there is some clinic work that is expected of you if you take the EMT course and there might be an issue of liability.

Not an EMT course, but everyone should have a basic first aid and CPR course to graduate.

No, because not everybody wants to be an emergency medical technician. Perhaps CPR/Heimlich should be encouraged, but not an entire course.
