What is so great about The Goddard School?

My nearly 3 year old has been asking to go to "school" for a while now. I've decided to send him 2 days a week in September (he'll be nearly 3.5 by them). I'm starting to look into different preschools for him.

We have a Goddard School down the street. I haven't really looked into it too much yet, but I always hear people saying how the Goddard Schools are "the best" but I've never really heard why. What is so great about them?

Update:

K- That's what I'll most likely be doing. I was just curious what all the hype was about. From what I gather they are way out of our price range anyway.

The Goddard School has a great program. I am a SAHM mom so I never had my kids enrolled there personally but I am quite familiar with their program. They make a chart of every thing your child did that day, including bumps hits, strengths and weaknesses. No other school I am aware of makes a progress chart so detailed. They also focus alot on the learning process. Almost every activity they have there serves a purpose. I don't believe they have TV's which many daycare use before sleep time. IDK what else to say but that you should look into them if you are interested.

HOWEVER I will say that they mainly are a daycare facility. Yes they have preK classes but in my mind they are geared for the children there day in and out more than a 1/2 K preparedness geared program. So it may be that your child is only one of a very few who come in for the preK class and then leave. The others are there for working parents and may have already established relationships.

Take a tour, that's all I can say. You might be impressed. But fro your needs I'd probably recommend an actual preK program as opposed to one integrated into a daycare.

"I always hear people saying how the Goddard Schools are "the best""

These are dullards who've fallen for advertising; it's just a day care chain, end of story. Very embarrassing for the parents, to be so naive.

Huge red flags should shoot straight up when "preschool" is used in conjunction with "from six weeks." Institutional day care... Find your little local non-profit for-real preschool, somewhere with heavy parental involvement.
