Why aren't i happy i'm 18 yrs old now?
I just turned 18 and i've been looking forward to it now i am officially a man/adult. but i almost feel sad now, adults treat you like ur at the bottom of the foodchain, and today i almost got arrested because i was breaking up a street fight and it occurred to me I COULD GO TO PRISON... I hav to earn my own money now, I'm totally new into the adult world and i don' think i'm use to it...
All my friends are like 'THAT'S AWESOME!!! you can drink by alcohol, buy smokes', but i don't drink or smoke, and at my job i get treated like a piece of ****!, no one ever told me how hard being 18 actually was... does anybody else know what I mean???

Yes, I know what you mean, and that is exactly what it's like. It's almost as if your first life is over (childhood) and now your second life has started (adulthood). The only problem is, now you have to work for it! I am 24 and I must say, if you put in the work and make good choices, adulthood is absolutely everything it's cracked up to be. Your life can be anything you want it to be. Start learning all the new tools you'll need (working, paying bills, etc) and you'll be enjoying the finer points of adulthood (freedom, fun, choice, love, traveling) in no time.
