I am in high school, and there is a girl in my music class I've known for about a year. We were always friends in class always sitting next to each other and joking around, but only recently after our class went away to music camp, I really grew to be attracted to her. She seemed a bit more friendly to me since then, but I'm still not so sure if she feels the same way about me.

What I've noticed is she seems a bit shy talking to me when her friends (who are girls) are around. and some days she seems quite friendly to me (like touching my arm, leaning against my shoulder etc) , and other days maybe a bit distant.

I've been in a similar situation before, and actually asked the girl out, but had the complete opposite effect of what I was aiming for, and we haven't spoken since, because me showing my feelings for her made her feel too uncomfortable.

I was thinking of just sitting back and waiting for her to make a move, but I don't think she will. I think it's me who has to do it, but my question is how? I really really like this girl, she's a really good friend and a beautiful person, and I don't wanna mess this up like last time. How do i hint to her I wanna be her bf? btw she's not too princessy, she likes her sports and stuff lol

This is not my element (asking girls out) and i tend to stuff it up a bit. Does anyone have any ways that I can suggest to her, without really saying that I'd like her to be my girl, or possibly if she feels that way, to somehow let me know?

After seeing the movie '40 days and 40 nights' it made me think this movie has quite a deep meaning other than just being a romantic comedy flick. just like in the movie, I've been betrayed by a girl and it has been on my mind for a while, I hav dated other girls and gone out, but nothing seems to fill my emptiness.

I would really like to meet a nice girl, but without the sex, because sex really does complicate matters (i never thought i'd ever say it), so I am abstaining from anything sexual, kissing, rubbing, masturbation, sex for 40 days just like in the movie. right now I'm up to day 5 lol and i know it's early in the process, but i feel so at peace with the world, and as long as u keep preoccupied and busy, it doesn't make me feel sexually frustrated at all!!!! I feel empowered actually, like, i connect to girls in a more meaningful way than just being shallow and sexual u know?? and i found girls are good to talk to. so what are your thoughts?? do u think i can really abstain for 40 days (I'm not even sure lol) and has anybody ever tried this? by the way, I'm 18 at my sexual peek and with the hormones and everything (so this is going to be tough i know) lmao

I wanted to ask a complete stranger this question to see what your thoughts are. I have always had a hard time with girls in my life because I'm not very handsome. As a child i was beaten by my step father for years so much that the scars and broken bones deformed the way my face looks. I'm not hideous like the elephant man, but my disfigurement is noticeable, and i kind of look like scarface.

I've been out with girls in my life, but they all reject me sooner or later for the same reason, that they need to like what they look at, and I'm too ugly for them. My ex gf said she could see i was a very good looking man, but i just had alot of dimples and scars on my face.

I have been feeling very depressed lately as it seems girls are sooo superficial. It angers me when i see question posts on yahoo asking 'am i pretty' and showing a pretty girl there flaunting it in her photo. those people have nothing to be concerned about. My whole life people have stared at my scars and girls have cringed away from me.

I am a nice person other wise i wouldn't have the awesome friends i hav now, and i'm not superficial at all, it just seems everyone else is.............

Is there anything i can do? and i can't get plastic surgery, i work a next to minimum wage job and i go to university. i've already come to terms with the fact I will always be ugly, but I just can't stand the loneliness... :(, no matter how much of a nice person i am, no one wants a monster as a friend......

I just turned 18 and i've been looking forward to it now i am officially a man/adult. but i almost feel sad now, adults treat you like ur at the bottom of the foodchain, and today i almost got arrested because i was breaking up a street fight and it occurred to me I COULD GO TO PRISON... Every Morning when I'm going to school it's the same routine. I get up at six, shower, breakfast, catch the 7:15 train, stop off..... and before I catch my next train to school, I always see this exquisite looking girl sitting on the seat with a scarf wrapped around her and listening to her ipod happily. Every Single morning!!! She goes to a different school than me, and she is probably in the same year as me. I've always thought about going up to her and striking up a conversation, but she looks so zoned out into her ipod, she's not that easy to approach, plus she looks real shy (which I like).

I'm not shy, but I am slightly reserved, so it's out of my element to walk up to a pretty girl and talk to her. I've always been fussy with girls, and she is as beautiful as they get in my eyes. It's like ground hog day!!!! everyday she's sitting on that seat and I think "Damn sugar!!! that is one fine little lady, I might just go talk to her" but I always end up pussying out. I need some serious guidance!!! I'm a 17 year old male and I have been having trouble dating girls. I say 'girls' in general, but it is really just this one girl that I can't seem to get out of my mind. I started off being friends with her because she was in one of my classes at school. Not best friends or anything, but I would say hello to her as we passed by and we would chat in class.

I had known her for about a year and a half when I decided I was well and truly attracted to her, not just because she was beautiful, but because she was a great girl to be around. I began chatting to her more frequently and she was responding too as she became more friendly to me. I didn't tell her in exact words that I 'liked her' but I tried to subtly hint the idea.

With some intense mental preparation (which was tough for me, as I am incredibly shy around girls, and anything that comes out of my mouth is just a stutter) I asked her out to go skating with me at a rink. I remembered her saying she loves skating, but hadn't had the chance to go in a long time. To my absolute delight, she was more than happy to go out with me. So we went to the rink and had a great time. As She left she told me she would see me back at school and that was that.

But back at school, she wouldn't talk to me. When ever her eyes caught sight of me she would turn away. I tried to talk to her, but she would always find an excuse to leave. I picked up the hint that she didn't have feelings for me so I backed off. At first I was a little angry (I'll be honest) as I invested so much hard work into this one girl, and treated the situation so delicately until it blew up in my face. But I sympathize with her as I've had a girl like me when I didn't like her back, and I found it tough to tell her the truth.

This has happened to me many times before, but this time was different because I REALLY cared about this girl and I thought she felt the same about me. Even though I have tried to move on, I can't help but still feel uncontrollably attracted to her, and no other girls I come across seem to match her beauty. It always seems the girls that like me, I don't like back..... and the girls I like, have no interest in me..... I know little about females as I grew up in a household of entirely males. Could you please share your thoughts/ tips/ solutions to my problem. Thank you very much!!! ;D
