If people saw you shoot at 10 people and you are jailed. At the trial are you still an alleged shooter?

    Yes. To be labeled otherwise is a violation of your civil rights.I know it makes no sense,but niether does our legal system.

    Yes, until you are convicted (at the end of the trial) the person could be considered to be the "alleged" or "suspected" shooter.

    The reason you hear the word "alleged" before shooter is because the media use it regularly to avoid libel. Without alleged, it can be misconstrued as a indictment of guilt.

    innocent until proven guilty so yes you are still the alleged shooter, until the jury finds you guilty base don eye witness testimony and likely some forensic evidence as well such as gunshot residue on your hands and clothes, shell casings on the ground with your fingerprints on them and oh yeah the smoking gun that you used.

    Yes, until a jury decides you are guilty. Until then, you are innocent.

    yes. you are innocent until proven guilty which is where that testimony comes in.
