What do the protestors in Egypt want besides to oust their president?

I can't find a news article that explains this and that worries me. After they get rid of their president in Egypt, then what do they want?

Right now they just want to get rid of their president and set up a transitional government until they set up elections. If they can get to having a free election then there will be several strongly opposing organizations vying for power.

I expect that the Islamists extremists will make a powerful push for power. If they win the elections then expect them to set up a religious totalitarian regime. Things will get much worse.

Of course there is also the possibility that they will not be able to establish a transitional government and the country will collapse and civil war will result.

Egypt is a dictatorship. The President controls each thing. specifically, the main significant opposition is coming from the Muslim Brotherhood, it is a conservative Islamist flow. they suspect that the government might desire to be ordered around classic Islamic values. In a fashion, they're plenty like the Christian suitable interior the U. S., yet with a various faith, of course. they're outlawed in Egypt. the present administration is secular and helps the U. the fact that we ( the United States taxpayers) give the Egyptian Government (Mubarak) 2 billion dollars annually - and the President (Mubarak) fails to "Re-Distribute the Wealth" is something i think they want to change.

somehow, the "aid" money that comes to Mubarak has to be "trickled down" to the common, let's say, middle-class and below, population

for some reason, the Elites of ANY country fails to want to do this - even if it means the downfall of its regime

    i welcome replies

I read many of them are out of work and are starving because of rising food prices. The government they have now does not have a very good human rights record.

They want fair and not fixed elections as they just had and their president has been grooming his son to take over even though that is widely unpopular.

Of course we let Bush do it here.

How about letting the citizens of Egypt decide for themselves the type of government and society that they want.

    Like your want for yourself.
