has anyone had a dog scooter for their husky, the one when they walk on the side...?

i am thinking of getting a scooter for my husky so i can run him around as he always runs away when he's let off the lead and takes me hours catching him as there is not anywhere big and secure around my area.. would i be able to control it or would my husky be controlling where i go... i know it would take a while to get use to and i have looked on websites but would like some tips/advise from anyone who has one thanks. NO STUPID OR NASTY ANSWERS

Update:

Lindsay--- HUSKY??

Lexi---- it would be good exercise for me 2!! just a case of us both getting use to it :)

Actually, you are not stupid. I have a doberman that needs a great deal of exercise and her recall can be dicey when she finds a wild animal to trail.

I have biked my dogs - I bought a moutain bike with wider tires, and it is OK. The problem is the dog can pull you off the bike and its harder to do on soft ground which means biking on roadways - and that is just becoming to dangerous where I live.

Im interested to hear what others provide because I was hoping to get something that was less risky and so far the only thing that pops into my head is an ATV.

ADD: Ignore ignorant comments. Huskies should not be left to run loose -they do not recall and no amount of training will change the breeds inherent nature. Its responsible to consider some other form of exercise.

We run our Sib on farmer access roads with the car. I hate to inform people who do NOT own the breed, know nothing about the breed, or have zero experience with the breed. But a Husky needs an absurd amount of strenuious exercise every day. They are built, bred, and conditioned to pull a fully grown adult including a heavy load for miles for numerous hours. This is the perfect for of exercise to keep our Husky happy, tired, and obedient, as well as us happy and content with him, since he isn't chewing everything. A simple 1-2hr walk a day is nothing for these dogs. They crave so much more.

If he is in a hurry to poop, I can see why he pulls. You should really get a gentle leader harness for your dog. He will not be able to pull you and after a few months will not pull at all. It worked on my dog, who pulled just because he could and would not stop.

Why don't you just train your dog? There is NO excuse for an out of control dog. Call your local kennel club and sign up for some obedience classes. There are many products out there for attaching dogs, safely, to a bike, which would be more safe than a scooter. Google bicycle attachments for dogs, and many sites will come up.
