You're on city water with no pressure? That is weird, usually you get blown out of the shower especially when you are used to living with a well pump. They make a pressure tank that goes in the line, it will beef up the pressure, i don't know how much, they are usually used in houses that get their water from the well and just pump it to the house with out pressurizing it, so this tank does that. It is small, about 10 gallons, check it out.

Many cities main line water pressure is quite high going to the water meter in order to supply water to all the homes on the line and each home owner is responsible for the regulator and piping from the meter. If you have a pressure regulator on your system it may be set too low or be defective.

Additional: I have one and it is buried beside the meter, so they are not always visible. Good Luck

you could ask for an on demand pressure pump on your
main plumbing feed line
this would very much increase the pressure
