A recent question was asked about pornography, I forget the exact wording?

I have also had questions deleted, especially in context to this wicked generation, and the commandments of HaShem. Pornography and abortion kill the soul, and separate us from the love of HaShem.

Yes, sometimes questions are suddenly deleted. Either by Y!A or be the asker himself. We may become disturbed by this and think it's unfair but we could also look at it from a different viewpoint.

God's plans are inconceivable. We can pray to become instrumental to the unfolding of His plans and consequently, He may provide opportunities to do so but despite the fact we wish to spread His good words, at times He will not allow it to happen. While His plans are unfolding, issues are addressed and knowledge is revealed the way He wants it, at the proper time, at the proper place and under certain circumstances. We, His aspiring servants, should abide by His will. When we are censured or when we feel our attempts are hampered, we shouldn't become disturbed or alarmed but we should peacefully remember that God is the Supreme controller.

Besides, I agree that p0rnography is certainly an issue to be addressed. For those who live a pure life of celibacy in mind, words and deeds, it's well known that the effects of any form of p0rnography are detrimental for spiritual life.

WHEN Victorian archaeologists began systematically excavating the ancient ruins of Pompeii, they were shocked at what they uncovered. Today pornography is defined as "the representation of erotic behaviour in books, pictures, statues, motion pictures, etc., that is intended to cause sexual excitement."

These days, pornography is all-pervasive and appears to be accepted in most of modern society. Where once it was the province of disreputable cinemas and red-light districts, it is now eminently mainstream in many communities. In the United States alone, pornography generates more than ten billion dollars annually!

Some defenders promote pornography as a way to spice up a dull marriage. Says one writer: "It stimulates an active fantasy life. It offers instruction for sexual pleasure." Others claim that it encourages frankness and openness about sexual matters. "Pornography benefits women," claims writer Wendy McElroy.

"Is this site becoming hassled with too many biased or closed minds that refuse to discuss sensitive issues?" No... we've just come out of the middle ages and view sex as a normal biological function without all the ridiculous baggage.

There are billboards all over my town (which has a very large Evangelical population and literally a dozen Evangelical "mega-churches that seat upwards of 10-15 thousand people) that remind people to stop watching pornography and get right with god.

It is possible that the site might automatically delete the word "p0rn" to prevent solicitations for it.

There are some very closed minded persons and also some teens who don't have the power of clear judgment yet.

I think at this point you will disapprove of me but aside from the dangerous criminal aspect of the industry...it does serve a need.

Most men need a visual aspect to help them, and that visual as their life progresses becomes more deviant, and evolves with them.

Some of them need a secret life to fulfill their needs, somehow they separate it from their married life. This has been going on for most of human history.

Men love their wives and children and the home life, but they have a need for a different secret naughty life too. This does not involve love or togetherness or children it is just raw physical times.

Pornography helps to get them from one secret meeting to another.

Men's sexuality is wired so vastly different than women's, that many women have no idea.

Women in their marriage need to pay attention to their men's needs and be more open so that their husbands don't need to sneak away so often.

My youth minister has said the same thing luckily we spent a whole year in my hischool guys small group on just that issue i think it is because they don't want to offened people or rock the boat but it is an issue needed to be adressed a lot of christian guys have problems with pornography and lust

It's definitely an issue that Christian leadership should address if it conflicts with Christian values.

After all, there aren't enough non-Christians to support the existing porn industry, so all that business must be coming from Christians.

I see pornography as a sociological issue rather than a religious one. My own opinion is that it is merely an extension of sexual thought or a device to stimulate sexual thoughts. You might want to consider who or what gave us sexual thought in the first place ?
