Do Messianic Jews believe Yeshua is God or just a Messiah?
I understand that Messianic Jews believe Jesus /Yeshua is the Jewish Messiah. I also understand that they are not Christian, because that involves a LOT more than simply believing that Jesus is the Messiah. My question is whether they believe Yeshua is also G*d, or just a savior sent by Him. That makes a huge difference. Most Christians, thought not all, believe in the Trinity, including Jesus as the second Person, and the Holy Spirit as the third Person, aside from the Father (1st Person) in the Triune G*d. Thanks!

We believe He is BOTH. And not "just a Messiah," but the ONLY Messiah. He proved He was the Messiah the prophets of old spoke of hundreds of years before His birth.
Thanks for asking.

First, it is a fact that the nature of God is an advanced subject. I don't want to sound blasphemous in any way or to suggest anything but the concept of a trinity should not be forced upon anyone without some rigorous study into the nature of God.
Now, I think both Jews and Christians could learn a lot from each other's points of view. I say this because Jews bring up some extremely good points that need to be adressed. Also, there are some misconceptions about the Trinity by both Jews and Christians. Some people explain the trinity actually quite badly while others explain it very well.

"most Messianics" don't' agree on much at all. So, this is a hard one to answer. (Almost) all Messianics would agree Jesus is the Messiah. Those who understand/believe Jesus was God's Word incarnate would agree that makes him God too. Maybe not all that God is, but as God's Word we could not deny his deity. I think no one denies he was a man, Yeshua himself, identified himself often as son of man. As for the trinitarian stuff, most Messianics do not delve into it or consistently stay with there is One God and only One God with Jesus his Word come in the flesh. As His Word, and the perfect man (verses Adam who did sin) Jesus is considered unadulterated and the open door to God. The HOly Spirit of God is considered to flow through him unhindered, unadulterated. Jesus teachings are considered to be totally compatible with Torah (written) and the teachings (of other men) secondary to Yeshua's, because, as I said, Jesus is the literal Word of God and the most we could have seen of the Creator, had He come in all He is, which is impossible for the earth to have born. So, Jesus was sent, the lesser, His Word, made manifest as a man, in fact foretold, full of His Spirit. I know, it's hard one to understand and just as hard to explain. All of God is not contained in Jesus. I think that's what you were wondering if we believed. No, we know God is a whole lot more than just what had come (shown to mankind) in Jesus. We believe that Jesus was so subserviant to God's Will that he literally shows us God (the Creator). The Trinitarians divide it into three gods, we do not. God is One and it was He who added, with plenty of forewarning, foretelling, a human being literally, permanently, to His Word. The Old Covenant says "God is spirit" and so He is, and so He remained until He chose to add flesh to His Word. He added Jesus to Himself as the fleshly part of His Word, which lived, died and rose again, then to return (taking the human with it that time). Hope that helps. Shalom.

Messianic Jews believe in Jesus, and a singular G-d.
Which....makes them Evangelical Christians with a Jewish flavor.
For all beliefs by Messianic Jews, just refer to Baptist beliefs, and translate a few of the terms into Hebrew. Really, that's it. Messianic Judaism is an offshoot of Baptist Christianity.

Messianic Jews do not believe that Jesus/Yeshua is part of a trinity.
The doctrine if the trinity was an invention of the early Roman Catholic church. Many latter offshoots of that Church took the doctrine of the trinity with them.
Messianic Jews understand that Jesus was the son of God and son of a Jewish woman.

The Messianic Jews that I have met have been decidedly trinitarian (a point on which I sharply disagree with them, by the way). I have become aware that there are other Messianic Jews who do not believe in a trinity--but apparently, many of these also deny the deity of the Messiah as well, which (I believe) is an egregious error.
While I certainly don't believe in a trinity, according to the eternal, inviolable word of God's unalterable Torah, the Messiah is both human and divine. Isaiah 9:6 is one verse that makes this abundantly clear. And Deut. 6:4 makes it clear that God is ONE---not three. I've known Jews outside of the Messianic movement who recognized and believed in both the deity AND the humanity of Jesus (from a oneness perspective), and I've heard of one pastor--a Messianic Jewish cohen--who apparently also understands this, but unfortunately, I don't believe that it is the norm at this point. Perhaps that will be changing.

He is the Son of GOD, the sinless Son of GOD, the representation of GOD in flesh on earth. But no human can completely hold the massive, infinite, immeasurable spirit of the one true GOD.

answer: there are Christians that don't believe in a trinity.
The belief in a divine, sacrificed savior that takes on the sins of others is a CHRISTIAN belief. "messianics" are Christians and aren't honest about it.
"Messianics" are NOT Jews. Fact. Jewish findings on "Messianics" = Jesus = Christian. All Jews believe in a messiah/messianic age, that means all Jews are "messianic". Christians await the return of their messiah - that makes them Christians. The belief in a divine savior is Christian, it is blasphemous in Judaism.
Though Jews for Jesus like to refer to themselves as Jews, theologically they are absolutely Christians. The basis of all Christian theology is that Jesus was the messiah and that he died for the sins of mankind.
Very few "Messianics" were Jewish to begin with.
A Jew that becomes a Christian is an apostate Jew, no longer considered part of the Jewish community or religion. They cannot be called up to read from the Torah in synagogue. They cannot be buried in a Jewish cemetery. They cannot join the US military as a “Jewish” chaplain. They cannot marry an Orthodox Jew and they cannot immigrate to Israel as a Jew. They cannot participate at Pesach celebrations/observances.
In the document ‘What Evangelical Christians should know about Messianic “jews”, Martin Meyer, founder of 'jews' FOR JESUS: reveals:
‘We are an arm of the local **Church**. We are Evangelists. We are accountable to the Church. As we win and ***convert*** Jewish people, we urge them to take their place in a local Evangelical **Church**, or establish a congregation. Our duty is to aid the **Church** at large and to gather in the Lost Sheep of the House of Israel.’

A Jewish child raised as a Christian, Father Daniel, aware of his parents' heritage, came to Israel and applied to become a citizen of Israel under the Law of Return. The Israeli Supreme Court denied his application, stating that since he converted, he was no longer a Jew

I am going to clarify you, Messianic ""Jews"" are no Jews but are no christians neither, why? they misrepresent both religions, I like to call "Messianic Judaism"A cult, I am goin go deeper, they have Nazis ideas, remember Hitler saying Jews were a race?, no honey Jews aren't a race, they based that there race/blood haven't change since they accepted Jesus/Yeshua (what they called) as messiah but darling I know two people that are born Jew, one is Chinesse the other is Black does they are same race? and me I am Middle Eastern/European girl mixed with Puerto Rican, we aren't no same race. So to made it short, Messianic "Jews"are liars, fraud, misrepresent both religions are the spiritual nazis.
Note: They gonna give me thum down but I do study a lot
In Exodus 20:23 said Do not make any gods to be alongside me; do not make for yourselves gods of silver or gods of gold.
In Exodus 34:14 Do not worship any other god, for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God.

The messianic Jews ' teaching of Yeshua is almost similar to those of Jehovah witness.
I understand that there are SOME Messianic Jews who got it RIGHT
