Don't listen to those other people. If you're sad, you're sad. You must have been close to your aunt. It's okay to cry. Maybe you can write your feelings in a journal.

Hi, my condolences to you. i believe it is the most painful kind of loss when you lose someone through death. I also lost my mom-in-law last year because of cancer and it was really a sad time for us all especially my husband. There is really nothing we can say or do to comfort the grieving loved ones she left. All we did was to remember all the good times we had while she was here and the comforting thought that she has joined our Creator. One of the bible verses that gave us comfort is this:
Exodus 14:13-14 Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you today. The Egyptians you see today you will never see again. The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.

You don't have to be strong for your Mom. You are grieving too. It's ok to cry when you're sad and it's ok if your Mom has a good cry in your presence. it's quite normal and healthy to experience intense emotions when you have experienced the loss of a loved one. Talk to your Mom; tell her you are sad too and that you have so much empathy for her. Share some memories about your aunt and thInk of something you can do together to honor her. I planted a dogwood tree in my yard in memory of my younger sister who died. Your Mom will find a way to endure.

WTFFF, get off of the computer and go be with your mom! The best thing you can do is just be tgere for her and comfort her! WHICH, should be INSTINCT!
