Which floor would you choose to live in an apartment?

I'm moving into an apartment soon (from uni residence) and there are one unit available in each floor (ground, 2nd and the top floor). What would your choice be and why?

I think ground floor is nice and it has some more space (back yard) whereas the 2nd and 3rd floors get a moderately sized balcony and a bit more breeze. The downside is that the ground floor is a bit shady while the top is reachably by staircase only, and the middle can possibly be affected by a little more noise.

I would choose the top floor because I hate dealing with other peoples' noise more than I have to, but if the stairs were too difficult to navigate with my suitcases and such I might be forced to take the ground floor.

I have been high and low in apartments and condos. The views are always nicer the higher up you are but then there are disadvantages too. In a 26 floor apartment I lived on the 23rd floor and the building only had 2 elevators. If somebody was moving in they would tie up one elevator and the wait for the other took a long time.

My next move I lived on the third floor, it was much easier access to the lobby, and if I had to walk up or down three flights it was no problem. Of course we missed the great view. I now live on the 18th floor of a condo, and it has 3 elevators. The views are great, but the elevator situation often sucks.

I would choose the apartment that offers YOU the best convenience.

The top. I live in a 3 story building on the middle floor, though, and I'm satisfied.

I would go for 2nd or 3rd. 1st floor always creep me out. 2nd is inaccessible but u have to endure the noise from upstairs. 3rd floor is ok inaccessible as well. No upstairs noise. Long walk when u have heavy groceries and whatnot. Or a good workout.. however you want to see it

Top floor, especially if there are only 3 floors
