How Manageable is Learning Two Languages?

Well, right now I'm a senior in high school and I am dual enrolling in my first german class at a local college. I am trying to get an idea of my college schedule, so I'm wondering how manageable it would be to take both french and german... would it be better if I focused on german now, then picked up french later? I plan on moving to Germany, so my goal is to be fluent in german, but I still want another language, and I figure french would be the next best thing. So, suggestions?

It depends on how difficult languages are to you. I'm fairly good at languages, and I'm currently doing a private study of both Latin and Esperanto, and I'm studying French for school. However, Esperanto is easy as pie and Latin isn't bad either. German and French, however, are not easy, especially German. If you're going to seek fluency and actually try to learn a language well, then you need to focus on it. Besides, senior years is a stressful time. You don't want any more on your plate than you need.

Unless you're a really fast language learner, I suggest that you focus on German and put French in the "later" file.

Hello. Yes, it is feasible to be trained 2 languages without delay, of direction it additionally depends upon how a lot time you'll commit to these 2 languages, how powerful is your willingness to achieve well outcome and lots of different elements, however often this is a viable goal. Also the truth that you could love to take in 2 languages which might be instead special from every different is honestly a well and useful factor on account that persons who come to a decision to got down to be trained 2 languages which might be fairly akin, are finally almost certainly to combine them up. Furthermore, given your "linguistic list" I'd say that you just would not have many disorders studying Spanish.

    It depends on the person.

If you feel you can handle it, you should go for it.

You would need to practice the two everyday so you can be able to balance two languages.

And if you are really dedicated and interested it will make learning these languages easier.

Very manageable if they belong to the same local language family.
