Does anyone else think that AC/DC is an extremely stale band?

After the Bon Scott era, I think AC/DC has been one of the most generic and repetitive bands in rock. All their songs seem to sound the same, and I can't tell you how much I hate Brian Johnson's voice, there's no versatility whatsoever in his singing. Thoughts?

I love everything before Back in Black, I really think that the band suffered majorly when Bon Scott died, I know alot of people really rate Brian Johnson highly, but it's not the same band. AC/DC don't have the same energy they did with Bon Scott now that Brian Johnson has taken his place.

I never liked Post Highway to Hell AC/DC, It's all unoriginal and uncreative imo, and Brian Johnson sounds like there is something stuck in his throat and all Post Highway to Hell AC/DC songs sound the same

Angus Young isn't that great of a guitarist either all of his Riffs and Solos have the same structure and I think Back in Black is the most overrated album.

I totally agree. I say the same exact thing whenever ACDC is brought up. Their first years were more favorable but Johnson is horrible and annoying and all the guitars are boring. Good question :)

I just feel like people have played them too much. The media has just tired out Back in Black, Highway to Hell, and Have a Drink on Me.

Sorry, I think that about their entire career as a band. Terribly boring and cheesy as hell.

Its been the knock against the band for years. But its hard to argue with success.

Maybe. they pioneered heavy metal, but then lost the touch in the latter years.
