Most normal couples with no fertility issues only have a 20-25% chance of conceiving each cycle and it can take several months to conceive. It is recommended to seek medical advice after a year of trying without success.

Since you are almost at the 1 year mark, I would call your doctor and make an appointment to discuss it (it will take a couple weeks/month to get in anyway).

Your periods are not considered irregular, but that doesn't mean there are no issues. It could be you, it could be him, or it could just be bad luck. Whatever it is, its always helpful to get some medical advice. There are a few simple blood tests they will do, and a semen analysis for him to make sure everything is in order.

The most important thing when ttc is to track ovulation. Have you tried ovulation prediction kids? They are very useful in helping to predict ovulation so you can properly time sex. If you really want to get technical, you can chart your basal body temperature. You can also monitor your cervical mucus for signs that ovulation is near.

    Good luck!
