Toddler blacks out when he hits his head.?
My little guy is 3 and has down syndrome. We are probably over protective and he is very cautious and rarely gets injured. However last month he fell from the couch and hit his head. When he did his eyes rolled back and he blacked out for like 10 seconds. He woke up cried a little bit and then was fine. Today his little brother pushed him back off of his tricycle and he hit his head again and did the same exact thing. He is fine right now though. What could this be, we are going to take him to the doctor but I would like to have an idea before I take him. Thanks for your thoughts.

it could just be that he's hitting his head so hard that it's causing him to black out just like any other person would.
of course given his medical history there might be something more serious, i know you're cautious and accidents happen, but given it's happened twice now, gotta be more careful.

hi, i'm rather thinking all of the scare memories revealed right here. If something is incorrect then for sure circulate to a doctor yet panic won't help. i won't be able to have confidence how irresponsible some human beings are. My Son became and suddenly met the door physique on Saturday and had an analogous adventure. Gave himself a reliable whack, and fell over. He have been given up ran to me crying I picked him as much as convenience him then he arched backwards screaming and retaining his breath, and then handed out. that's extremely frightening ... yet this has occurred to him earlier he has a habit of working into issues! basically carry you daughter and he or she would be able to come around. perhaps as a precaution and if makes you sense extra effective (it oftentimes does i think) you're able to call the paramedic yet she'll probable be effective via the time they arrive. Time earlier it occurred whilst basically my spouse replaced into present day and he or she did panic. My Son replaced into out for extra or less 3 or 4 minutes. Paramedics checked him over and he replaced into effective. a circulate to to the physician is a sturdy theory in case you're worrying yet i might pay extra interest to make certain if their behaviour 'positioned up bump' is generic. Do they walk, communicate ok, eyes no longer glazed over/dilated and so on. My Son does not remember a ingredient previous bumping his head on Saturday. i'm taking him to the medical doctors yet do no longer assume it to be something different than generic reaction to a great bump on the top. i think the only answer is attempt to no longer enable them to bump their head. you won't be able to be everywhere exceedingly whilst they commence working around yet luckily they are very hard even with the indisputable fact that. happy she is doing reliable. Take care and don't difficulty too plenty. superb desires

I can't tell you what this is but I would go to a doctor as soon as you can because for any little kid to get injured and have their eyes rolling back is scary.

when my son fell of the bed we brought him to the hospital because he was so little and a knot came up on his head immediately and scared the crap out of us. the first question we were asked by the triage nurse was was did he lose consciousness, the nurse asked us again, first thing out of her mouth, the doctor did the same thing. i asked the doctor if that made it more serious and she said yes, absolutely. i would have gotten him checked out the first time it happened and if i were you i would get it checked out asap.
