I have another period question.?

So I had my period starting January 24th and it lasted until the 19th of Feb.

I started my birth control on the 20th or 21st

My periods are usually very regular. and i was suppose to get it again on the 24th but i haven't yet.

I just had my son 4 months ago, and i'm hoping that im not pregnant again.

i have been having unprotected sex before i got on birth control

i need some advice please!!!! :]

I also called my doctor to see what could be wrong with me since i bled that long and they didn't say anything , all they started talking about was birth control. and i do not have insurance yet to go see a doctor.

Well, if you are still breast feeding, then chances are your prolactin is too high to allow you to get pregnant. If not, then the risks are higher.

If your period lasted for 4 weeks, then clearly your hormones have not settled down yet. It can take 3 months before your body gets in sync with the BC hormones. So you cannot really expect your period to start on the 24th Feb..... that's only 5 days after you stopped bleeding.

So I think it is most likely that your body hasn't adjusted yet to the BC hormones. But as you have had unprotected intercourse, it is a possibility (albeit unlikely, given that you had a period) and therefore you should take a home pregnancy test just to rule it out.

If it's negative, then nothing to worry about. Just give it 3 months to settle down to a normal pattern.
