Tumble dryer mystery?

Can anyone come up with an explanation of why I have just pulled a load of washing out of my dryer and found that everything was dry except for one pillowcase which was nearly as wet as when it went in. I don't mean it was just a bit damp, I mean it was as wet as when I took out of the washer but everyting else was properly dry. The mate to the pillowcase that is identical was also dry.

Most likely the pillow case was warped in some clothing. If you put a lot of clothing in your dryer, then the clothing may not have enough room to tumble and the pillow case didn't have any air going to it. Next time try to put in a few less cloths and it should be fine.

If you had a fitted sheet in the load, it is common for a pillowcase to get rolled-up in the corner of the sheet and not get dry. When I dry my sheets, I stop the load half way through the cycle and make sure nothing is caught in the fitted sheet.
