Causes of temporary hearing loss and everything getting dark?
I have had a multitude of symptoms over the past few years but when I was pregnant with my third child I started having moments lasting about 15 minutes of everything getting dark, hearing loss, and the need to sit or lay down. Has anyone else had this happen? What is it caused by? I have already had an MRI of my brain for a different reason with nothing found.

I'm not sure about the darkness, but regarding the hearing loss, it may be due to a cyst-like liquid in your ear (That you may not even be able to feel), or something causing your nerve cells functioning to be hampered.
I suggest you take a nap whenever you feel the slightest bit of tired, try aromatherapy (Helps to clear your head), and drink lots of hot tea.
Source(s): If the techniques listed above don't work, I recommend you try The Hearing Fix. It gradually causes your body's ability to hear to increase and is pretty inexpensive! http://thehearingfix.com/ - 1 decade ago
