What strange, egregious mental twist is this

That’s s prompting them to think or imagine

that they, and only they, and no-one else,

are virtuous and deserving or destined

to the joys of heaven and its glories

while the rest of us must wallow on lies.

They won’t stoop to accept or give respect

Or see the pain in their brothers’ eyes.

To hate’s their mission, to spread this disease

Numb to their fellow mortal’s speechless gloom

And proud to raise voices, for victories

Shallower than Paris’(Hilton’s) naked costume.

dear Sin,

you have no idea how much I have missed you.

Reading this, I got flashes of Bob Dylan...and

the intensity with which he addressed social issues.

I have a confession. I also hate. I hate the Phelps crew

and everything they stand for. I know it's a flaw in my

character, but I can't help it. I hate cockroaches too.

You know they are all one family. One self-deluded, hate filled family. I have thought of what legal ways could combat this - One - perhaps these kinds of demonstrations should be legislated against as hate crimes ( and geez many others too). A second way would be to declare them a danger to others and commit them all to a mental health facility. I have to tell you Sin - it makes me angry that I have to take psychotropic medication (of course I need it) but this looney tunes, hate filled, genetically mutated family can do what ever harmful thing they want under the first amendment.

This poem is so good and very truthful I know the feelings, my husband served in the military and was wounded badly and because of that he is shell shock and do not sleep good at night, These people are so wrong and full of it. But God;s knows they hearts He is still sitting on His throne of mercy and grace one day they will all meet they maker. Your poem is so sad and depressing.

I want to thank you for this poem, those that serve and give the supreme

sacrifice deserve nothing but honor and dignity.And for calling this evil thing

what it is , for that I also thank you.Please know as I and many of my

generation having put on the uniform of this country feel nothing but

disgust towards the people who denigrate the honored sacrifice of those
