The Jehovah's Witnesses left me a book and it had some amazing information. Should I get them to come back?

I am one of Jehovah's Witnesses (dedicated and baptized).

Yeppers, that book is definitely awesome! It presents the truth and magnitude of Jesus' teachings in such a straightforward way that even a child can understand and grasp his teachings. As you have come to see for yourself, it also is a awesome book that even adults can learn many Bible based things from concerning Jesus' teachings.

Listen, we are ALL imperfect. Even if you could somehow individually meet each and every member of the worldwide Christian congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses and for whatever reason became "impressed" with our Christian conduct, Bible based beliefs and Christian way of life, the TRUTH of the matter would still nonetheless be that each and every last one of us are ALL UNWORTHY due to our imperfections.

It is only by God's UNDESERVED kindness / favor / grace through Jesus Christ our Lord that we are even able to be part of the worldwide Christian congregation of JEHOVAH'S Witnesses in the first place (http://tinyurl.com/4guabev ). He grants us this because of His great LOVE that we DON'T deserve (ergo it being called UNDESERVED kindness / favor / grace).

We can't "earn" His favor, He grants it to us because of His undeserved LOVE towards us and out of appreciation for all that He is, Has done and is doing, we are more than happy to LIVE the Christian way of life, DOING Christian works which demonstrate to God and Christ that our professed claim of loving them is actually genuine and not hypocritical. This is HOW the Bible says and teaches that God wants us to SHOW HIM that we really mean it when we say that we LOVE Him and His Son... Consequently, JEHOVAH is the personal name of God THE Almighty as commonly pronounced in the English language (http://tinyurl.com/4fgnk9y ; http://tinyurl.com/4otufpl ).

Consider this... A person CAN use a kitchen fork as a weapon, however, the CREATOR of that kitchen fork DID NOT make it to be used in such a way, that is out of harmony with it's created PURPOSE.

Likewise, Psalm 100:3 reveals that we are simply CREATED beings and that it is Almighty JEHOVAH God who is our CREATOR (http://tinyurl.com/456k56a ). Humans can live an entire lifetime doing all kinds of things and yet still feel an "emptiness" inside and this "emptiness" is simply that they fail to carry out their PURPOSE of being here. The ONLY One who can truly reveal your PURPOSE better than anyone else is your CREATOR (make sense?).

Do not worry about you not being "a very moral girl". Your Creator sees PAST this about you (Psalms 130:3), He sees the person that you are MEANT to be, the person He CREATED you to be and I'm telling you, when you get to know Him and He reveals the purpose of not only LIFE to you, but your individual place in that purpose, you will know and feel a sense of satisfaction, fulfillment and gratefulness that you never thought possible and it cannot be compared to ANYTHING you have ever known.

Yes, despite this wonderful book being geared towards children, you are proving that it does not matter what age we are!

I know how you feel about the part on abuse - I too was molested and despite being a witness, I have trouble with trusting and such.

If I am thinking on how these 2 witnesses think, they are giving you time to absorb the book; not everyone welcomes us straight back! What you can do is to phone the local kingdom hall and request a visit.

If she has not answered already, you will be interested in Mindy, because like you, she was very immoral and took on board the "errors of her way" and changed and is now a witness! I think you too have a lot in common and can help each other out.

Sweetheart, it is people such as yourself that we LONG to find! You are showing such a humble attitude and that HAS TO BE ADMIRED.

None of us are without sin, so try not to let your shame pull you down - instead - embrace this and get to know your Creator, Jehovah for He so wants you to reach out to Him.

Edit: I am afraid that I cannot help myself here! As you can see and you, yourself have felt this way - we are not liked, so people will say or doing anything to make us look bad. With this, all the thumbs down will rarely be from us. I for one, NEVER give a td because it does nothing to stop what the person has written and just plain nasty! So, I happen to know that my brothers and sisters will think this way too.

It is as you so rightly say - everyone has the right to their opinion - however, I note very much that we get td often and yet it is our opinion. Rights for all - not just for a few, would you not agree?

You are finding the truth about what we teach, most don't even bother to look, they believe all the lies stated by those under Satan's influence.

When our faith is examined those with honest heart and the meek see we only teach Bible truths and don't worry about what you have done before because you are being called by the true God himself for Jesus said no one comes to him unless the Father draws them. Read 1 Peter 3:21 then in your phone directory look for the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses that is in your area and call them and you will find them willing to show you all the truth that the scriptures have to offer.

Hey there to get in contact with us first of all the witnesses who left you the book will probably come back but if they dont you can just go to www.watchtower.org press yes to your personal invitation on the right hand side fill out the info and press send this will be sent to the main branch in the US and then will be sent to the nearest congregation to you and then they will come and knock on your door.

Well, it just depends on the Witness who left you the book to begin with when he/she will return. But, you could just call up the local Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, and request someone to come back, or if you go there, and there are cars there, just walk right in. There us usually service groups that meet there every day. Around noon-one o'clock would be the best as people will be around taking lunch.

But it is nice to hear your interest in us. You can ask us any question you ever want. We love questions. Of course, there is completely no strings attached in any way when it comes to inviting us to your home to talk, or in coming to the kingdom hall, or even studying with us. We are not trying to get membership numbers up.

I personally know people who have studied for years with us and have never come to a meeting, or become a baptized member. And i also know a lady in our congregation who has been attending meetings for over 10 years without "signing up" as a member in any way.

And remember, whatever we show you from the bible, or talk about, please research it yourself. We do not want anyone to take our word for it.

1 Corinthians 2:5= that YOUR faith might be, not in men’s wisdom, but in God’s power.

Me one of Ex-JW. See what happened to "my friend" comment. This what they will do to you once you get associated with them and if you try to leave them.

JW is not the answer for what happened to you. Yeah they really sound good at the first time but once you start associate with them slowly you will come know that they are trying to control your Thinking ability, Reading material, Your social life and and after this process ends you will start feeling guilty and judged forever and ever.

There are lot of plastic smiles in the congregation. Don't be amazed that a book of them or one particular chapter of their book surprised you this kind of things happen... For an example - I was working in a place for 4years no promotion no hike then I came across a book " Who moved my Cheese" after reading it I left the Job not I have much better Job and good Salary. There are billions of book out there and one of them helping us out is not a miracle.

That's wonderful that you appreciated the information in the book. It is great information for people of all ages.

I'm so sorry to hear about what happened to you when you are young. I don't know where you work, but I do know that many who go through things like you mentioned wind up doing things that are not very moral as adults, simply because they were made to feel like objects at such a young age. (These scriptures may bring you comfort: Psalm 103:12-14 & Psalm 147:3.) The chapter you referenced is so very important for parents to read with their children today more than ever, since this world has become so degraded.

There is so much more instruction, good news and hope to be found in the Bible. My suggestion is not to wait for the witnesses to come back on their own, but to just call a Kingdom Hall in your area and ask for a visit (feel free to ask any other questions you may have as well). Our meetings are open to the public, so feel free to drop in if you feel like it. The meeting times are usually posted on the outside of the Kingdom Hall.

EDIT: You can go to the site http://www.dexknows.com/ and type in "Kingdom Hall" along with your city and state, and the congregations in your area will appear. You can call any of them. If you don't get an answer, try calling back at noon, or at 9am tomorrow morning. There are usually some meeting at the Kingdom Hall to get organized for the ministry at those times. :)

EDIT #2: I'm so happy for you!! I knew that would happen! :) Please remember John 6:44, where Jesus says, "No man can come to me unless the Father, who sent me, draws him." It is obvious that Jehovah saw something good in your heart and wants you to have the opportunity to draw close to him. So if you ever start to doubt yourself, remember that. :)

You are a good person with a good question. Yes, get them to come back. You say you are not a very moral girl, and even that shows that you have a conscience. Believe me, there is a better world waiting and learning about it is so worth it.

Jesus said at John 17:3 "This means everlasting life, their taking in knowledge of You, the only True God, AND of the one whom You sent forth, Jesus Christ."
